Stour Row is a tiny village 3 miles south-west of Shaftesbury hidden in the lovely Dorset countryside. Lawn Cottage is a delightful 18th century stone cottage with a warm, friendly atmosphere and rooms filled with paintings, porcelain and kelims set in a delightful garden which guests are welcome to use. There are three rooms for bed and breakfast guests. A ground floor twin/double with ensuite shower room tv/ dvd player (suitable for the less able) a lofty single/bunk bedroom with ensuite shower and a double bedroom with private bathroom. Children and dogs are very welcome. All the rooms have wifi, tea and coffee making facilities and homemade biscuits. Delicious breakfasts are served in the cosy kitchen with its Aga, in the dining room or even outside on the terrace! It is an ideal base for visiting Dorset (and the coast), Somerset or Wiltshire being on the border of all three, or as a quiet place to relax and unwind. There are delightful Gardens, houses and walks nearby to visit and I am very happy to help with more information. Our excellent local pub is less than a mile away.

Comfortable, friendly, 18th Century house in the centre of an attractive Dorset village. House and barns of local stone set around a pretty courtyard, leading to a cottage garden. We're set in the heart of the beautiful Blackmore Vale and Thomas Hardy country. Close to Shaftesbury, Bath, Sherborne, Stourhead, Montacute, Longleat and many other places of local interest. We have a village pub serving excellent food, just 100 yards from our house. Two doubles and one double/family room. B&B tariff from £32 per night (single) and £55 per night (double).
