If it's peace and quiet you want, in lovely rural surroundings, then Gorse Farm House is the place for you. Quirky house with bundles of character and a great deal of comfort at the same time. Guests have plenty of space to relax including a snug and conservatory (where breakfast is served) and two acres of garden to enjoy, with numerous seating areas. The first floor bedroom has a superking sized bed (which can be arranged as two twin beds) and large private bathroom. In September 2010 there will be an additional ensuite bedroom becoming available. The property is two miles outside the small market town of Sturminster Newton in the heart of the Blackmore Vale and forms a great base for exploring the many delights of Dorset.

| Old Causeway Bakery is the home of Sandra and Simon and is a really quite beautiful old house and bakery which retains loads of period and quirky features. We have sumptuously decorated and comfortably furnished the house with family pieces as well as newly acquired pieces. We are set in the middle of the beautiful Blackmore Vale in Thomas Hardy country surrounded by lovely old towns with glorious countryside and the coast within easy reach. National Trust properties are close by as are the many historic hill forts to be found in this part of the world. There are wonderful walks (even straight out of our garden!) and excellent bike rides all around us.
