This characterful former farmhouse offers two beautifully appointed bedrooms with super kingsized beds (or two twins), one a sumptuous ensuite with roll-top bath, the other having a large private bathroom. Guests also have their own snug and adjoining conservatory, where breakfast is served April-October. The house is set in two acres, with a truly unique garden and ample parking (some covered). Dining is close by. Situated two miles outside the small market town of Sturminster Newton in North Dorset, it forms an outstanding base for exploring. Stour Row is a tiny village 3 miles south-west of Shaftesbury hidden in the lovely Dorset countryside. Lawn Cottage is a delightful 18th century stone cottage with a warm, friendly atmosphere and rooms filled with paintings, porcelain and kelims set in a delightful garden which guests are welcome to use. There are three rooms for bed and breakfast guests. A ground floor twin/double with ensuite shower room tv/ dvd player (suitable for the less able) a lofty single/bunk bedroom with ensuite shower and a double bedroom with private bathroom. Children and dogs are very welcome. All the rooms have wifi, tea and coffee making facilities and homemade biscuits. Delicious breakfasts are served in the cosy kitchen with its Aga, in the dining room or even outside on the terrace! It is an ideal base for visiting Dorset (and the coast), Somerset or Wiltshire being on the border of all three, or as a quiet place to relax and unwind. There are delightful Gardens, houses and walks nearby to visit and I am very happy to help with more information. Our excellent local pub is less than a mile away.
